How to Create a Custom Question in the Drip7 Platform
This guide outlines the process for creating a new question in the Drip7 platform library.
Step 1: Access the Admin Dashboard
- Log in to the Drip7 platform using your admin credentials on desktop computer to access the Drip7 admin portal.
- Navigate to the content management section, labeled “Content,” where you can create and manage questions.
Step 2: Create a Category
- Start by creating a category to organize your new question thematically, acting as a folder for related content, in the “Category” tab.
- Example: For a question related to phishing, create a category named “Phishing Awareness” or “October Cybersecurity Month.”
Step 3: Initiate Question Creation
- In the content management area, click the “Create Question” button to start building a new question from the template.
- Alternatively, if uploading multiple questions, use Drip7’s provided spreadsheet template for bulk uploads, which automatically creates a category if none is associated. This guide focuses on single-question creation.
Step 4: Define the Question Details
- Question Name and Text: Enter the question name and text, keeping them identical for consistency in the platform’s search functionality. Example: “What is a common method used in social engineering attacks?” on both “Name” fields. [A numbering scheme to ensure question delivery flow accuracy when building a curriculum later is also recommended.]
- Category Association: Tag the question with the category created in Step 2 (e.g., “Phishing Awareness”) to ensure proper organization.
- Content Type: Choose the content type to enhance the question, such as text, image, video, or infographic. For example, attach a short video demonstrating a phishing email.
- Question Format: Select the question type from the available options:
- True/False
- Multiple Choice (presented as buttons or checkboxes)
- Fill-in-the-Blank
- Slider
- Checkbox
- QR Code
- No-Answer (content-only, no user input required)
- Example: For a fill-in-the-blank question like “Social ____ is a common cybersecurity threat,” specify correct answers (e.g., “Engineering,” “Engineer,” “Engineers”) and include common misspellings to allow flexible user responses.
Step 5: Configure Answer
- For questions requiring user input (e.g., fill-in-the-blank or multiple choice), define the correct answers and any acceptable variations. Example: Accept “sometimes” or “yes” for a fill-in-the-blank question about phishing frequency.
Step 6: Save and Preview the Question
- Use the preview tab to verify the question’s appearance and functionality from the user’s perspective, ensuring it aligns with the intended learning objective.
- Save the question to add it to the Drip7 library under the selected category. Recall that question using the “category” filter in on the Content homepage. (Tip: Type your category name in that field instead of scrolling to save time!)
